When you log in to your Dashboard, you will see options to add/edit Pages, and another option to add/edit Posts etc.

What is the difference between these two?

  • Pages is for static content. Your About Page, Contact Page etc are Pages. The content there is not “time sensitive” and has no chronological order.
  • Posts are articles you write. A modern website, a modern professional blog, is all about Posts.
  • And these articles/posts are indexed through Categories and Tags. Pages do not have cats nor tags. Pages are important: they present important information. But whenever you want to share something with the world on an ongoing basis, you write a new Post.
